We admit that we love this time of year. Truthfully, it seems like most New Englanders do. There's something pretty wonderful about how seasons pass and, with them, changes of clothing (finally sweater weather), foods (yep, pumpkin spice), and traditions (decorative gourds, anyone?). We always look forward to picking our pumpkins (the weirder, the better) and having them slowly eaten by the creatures in our woods. After Thanksgiving, they're chucked in the woods so the deer and chipmunks can really go at it.
